The purpose of this study is to explore creative education (focusing on art education) and its impact on children’s development. There is a documented need for quality art education, as art has been used as a means to engage students in the learning process. As young children require hands-on activity in order to effectively learn and retain information, this study emphasizes the importance of creative arts within the education system. This research will examine the art samples of children (PreK - 2nd grade) through the lens of instructional concepts. Art samples will be examined and connected to instructional content to observe whether students are able to effectively express and retain the content through use of creative concepts.
